Everyone loves P'tit Basque. OK, that may be an overstatement, but it's not far from the truth. The cute little basket weave rind encases a semi soft interior that is deliciously buttery and rich, thanks to the sheep's milk used to produce this cheese. Just a little salty, and with a surprisingly complex flavor that develops as the taste lingers on your tongue.
A perfect cheese to just slice up and snack on, or try with some fig jam.
Pairs well with medium-bodied red wines and amber ales.
